Northern Ireland Music Therapy Trust

Who We Are

Music therapy services for people across Northern Ireland.

We are a charity providing music therapy sessions to individuals and groups of all ages and abilities across Northern Ireland. Our sessions are delivered by registered music therapists who are educated to Master’s level and are HCPC registered and regulated.

What We Do

Helping improve the quality of life for our clients by working towards individual clinical goals.

Our music therapists are expertly trained to tune into each movement, reaction, and expression of the people they work with. Through music, they help individuals discover ways to communicate, build confidence, reconnect with memories, and strengthen relationships with others. They can also help people work towards physical and mental health goals.

It can support emotional wellbeing, social connection, self-esteem, and quality of life.

Our Vision

"We wish to see every child, young person and adult in Northern Ireland receive the level of music therapy service that meets their needs."

Since our inception in 1990, Northern Ireland Music Therapy Trust has grown and changed, but our purpose has remained clear: to make high-quality music therapy available to people who can benefit from it.
