About
Since joining the Trust as a Music Therapist (2011), Claire has worked with a range of client groups of all ages. In recent years her work has remained within children's Special Needs Education and Adult Mental Health Hospital settings.
As an incredibly shy child, Claire often found that her voice became trapped inside of her. Playing the piano, however, became a source of great expression, freedom and joy, that boosted her self-esteem, revealed unseen portions of herself to others, and eventually opened new windows of opportunity. Claire believes that this gift of music cannot be kept quiet but must be shared so that others too may experience the joy and hope that it offers!
Claire's personal journey and enthusiasm for creativity has led her to attain a Musical Theatre singing diploma, frequently lead Church and School choirs, collaboratively write a Mainstream Primary One Music Education Curriculum, provide official piano accompaniment at festivals and exams, and create dance/ drama routines for children's stage productions.
